Good Day Gene. Thank you for your question in regards to your unit (Model Number LGEF3045KFB). By far the most common reason you are having this issue is that the elements are faulty and need to be replaced. Other reasons (through far less common) that may be causing the issue you are having could be the Oven Probe or the Oven Electric Control Board. We hope this helps! Best Regards.

This Frigidaire Electric Range pre heats very slowly, as long as 30 minutes to get up to 350 degrees. We had a repairman come out to check it and he said everything checked out fine. He said the heating element is not exposed IE under the bottom 'plate' instead of on top on this model. He found no electrical problems and he said the element was fine. Can you tell if he missed something? I paid over $100 for the call and am hesitant to call another repair service to paid another fee for something they can't find. Thanks

Hello Greg, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Oven Sensor. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. We hope this helps!

My oven door won't close because the bottom rack for the covection oven won't close with the door. How do I repair it?

Hi Beverly, thank you for the question. You can do the following things to fix the issue: First, check if the rack is correctly positioned in the oven. If it seems misaligned or is obstructing the door, remove it from the oven. Most oven racks can be pulled out by lifting them up and pulling them towards you. Inspect the rack: Carefully examine the rack for any signs of damage or misalignment. Check if any parts are bent or warped, as this could be causing the problem. If you notice any issues, you may need to replace the rack. Adjust the rack position: If the rack appears to be undamaged, try adjusting its position. Ensure that the rack is inserted correctly into the designated slots or supports within the oven. Make sure it sits level and securely in place. Check the oven door hinges, part number PS3504568: Examine the hinges on the oven door to ensure they are functioning properly. If the hinges are loose or damaged, they may need to be tightened or replaced. Clean the oven interior: Sometimes, debris or food particles can accumulate near the rack or hinges, preventing proper closure of the door. Clean the interior of the oven thoroughly, paying attention to the areas around the rack and hinges. Use a mild detergent and warm water, and avoid using abrasive cleaners that could damage the oven's surface. Your oven door, seal, or gasket will get dirty and greasy quickly. Extensive gunk buildup may prevent the door and its seal from closing fully flush with the frame; clean the oven door, seal, and liner. We hope that helps!

burned out burner
First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. Lifted the lid and removed the screws from the bracket that holds the elements, Be careful with the clips that hold the element in, if you break them or bend them there aren't any more! Also note which holes they were in, they are marked according to the different sizes of elements. Disconnected the wires, needed needlenose pliers to grip them...connected new element, popped it back in place, replaced bracket, closed top ...Easy peasy!!!

Oven wouldn't operated. Error code F9
I called a repair place. They charged $54 to diagnose, (said it needed a new latch motor) then wanted $220 to complete the repair. I checked online prices and did it myself for about 15 minutes work and the latch motor itself ($44?).

Was necessary to uplug the range, pull it away from the wall and remove the back panel sheet metal, then 3 screws that mount the motor. Replace motor, reattach sheet metal. Plug in. Done. Ready to bake cookies.
