Range and oven are not heating up all of a sudden, was working fine and now nothing on top or inside the oven
For model number FGEF3035RFA

Hello Michael, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the wiring to make sure nothing has shorted out or is damaged. There is no one part that controls both cooktop and oven, so it is normally a wiring issues. We hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

The large burner stopped working
For model number FGEF3035RFA
PartSelect logo
Hello Gregory, thank you for contacting us. According to our research, the issue is probably with the infinite switch, part number PS3504401. It turns the surface element on and off and controls how much heat the element produces. We would also recommend inspecting the terminals of the burner and making sure no wire is cut off and no connection is loose. Customer service is always available to help you place an order if you are having trouble doing so. Good luck with your repair.

Convection fan not working, the fan blade does turn well. two years ago the we had a massive storm that caused multiple power serges. The stove and oven work well otherwise. Would I just need the control panel?
For model number FGEF3035RFA
PartSelect logo
Hello Carrie, thank you for contacting us. It is quite possible that the fan motor, part number PS2378860, might have failed. The motor can be checked by unplugging the oven, removing the back panel, and testing the motor with a multimeter. Also, check the wiring of the fan. If this does not help, the issue is probably related to the control board, part number PS12074908. Customer service is available 7 days a week if you require assistance placing an order. Thanks again for reaching out!

burned out burner
First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. Lifted the lid and removed the screws from the bracket that holds the elements, Be careful with the clips that hold the element in, if you break them or bend them there aren't any more! Also note which holes they were in, they are marked according to the different sizes of elements. Disconnected the wires, needed needlenose pliers to grip them...connected new element, popped it back in place, replaced bracket, closed top ...Easy peasy!!!

Oven wouldn't operated. Error code F9
I called a repair place. They charged $54 to diagnose, (said it needed a new latch motor) then wanted $220 to complete the repair. I checked online prices and did it myself for about 15 minutes work and the latch motor itself ($44?).

Was necessary to uplug the range, pull it away from the wall and remove the back panel sheet metal, then 3 screws that mount the motor. Replace motor, reattach sheet metal. Plug in. Done. Ready to bake cookies.
