I'm trying to see if you have any information on this model number where there is a zero or O it could be the same. Hard to tell if it's zeros or letters. I have had this roper by Whirlpool gas range since 2002 I believe. The oven not heating well. I probably need a new stove. I'm trying to see what size stove I need. Can you help? Thank you very much. Hello Dorris, Thank you for the question. The model number has a Zero. We do not have the size sorry as we are just parts website. In most cases if the Oven is not heating well you would need to replace the Range Temperature Control Thermostat. If you have a multimeter it cane also be tested. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. We hope this helps!
My husband pulled out the stove turned the gas off then he pulled out the part and replaced igniter....it took only about 20 min to do this job it was very easy and prior to us doing ourselves i called a well known company that does home repairs, I also called a few smaller businesses and to replace this part was anywhere from $175- 250 if not more. we are very very happy with our decision to replace the part ourselves unstead of spending extra money we didnt have .
I numbered every part. ex: 1 L., for first part removed left side. I used a magic marker to circle the holes and wrote the number of screws used on the part, set the srews in a separete place, so that I new where these screws went to. The cleanup was pretty time consuming, but I was able to keep my stove, when every repairman I called to fix my stove told me I was better off buying a new stove. ($600.00 stove 2 years old)Please Note: The insulation blanket needed for the entire stove is two pieces, the sides and top are one part # and the bottom and back, are another part #. I did not know this. I just purchased the top and sides. I got lucky, the back and bottom were still in good shape. So I guess I should have read the description of the part more carefully to see what it covers, before I ordered it. It took two people two hours to do the work, it was really nice to have an extra set of eyes, to remember what direction pieces of metal from the stove went. I would do it all over in a heart beat instead of buying a new stove.
I just unscrewed the old one out, which was 2 screws and screwed this one in. But the thing that was best of all was how fast the part came in. It literally came the next day.
