I am trying to level my freezer. It is slanted from side to side. The floor is very in level. The freezer slants 4 inches from the wall at the top of the freezer and only 2 inches at the bottom. Are there adjustable feet in the back and front. or just in the front? if just the front what should do to level it?
For model number LFFH17F3QWA
PartSelect logo
Hello Marilyn, Thank you for the question. Checking the model it shows the Leveling Feet are only at the front. The appliance is meant to tilt Back slightly so there is no legs for the back. You will need to adjust the front legs to level the front. We hope this helps!

My unit leaks water during the defrost cycle, does the tank and attached hoses need to be replaced?
For model number LFFH17F3QWA
PartSelect logo
Hello Eldon, thank you for a very interesting question. Self-defrosting refrigerators thaw ice buildup and drain it away. Unfortunately, if food, ice, or debris clogs the drain line, water is unable to flow out, which causes a leak. Run hot water through the drain line and watch it flow. Also, make sure freezer temp is not to cold and is set to 0°. If this does not help, you will need to replace the drain pipe, part number PS12364877. We hope this information helps!

The freezer chirps about every minute (like the smoke alarm needing a battery). Why?
For model number LFFH17F3QWA
PartSelect logo
Hello Laurie and thanks for writing. If the beeping continues, switch-off the fridge. Check the freezer: If your fridge does not have an auto-defrost function then excessive ice-build up in the freezer can cause the beeping alarm. Once the fridge is thawed, the beeping should stop. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.

I forgot to mention in my last email that not only is the bottom shelf freezing and not the rest of the freezer, but water is freezing in the bottom drain of the freezer. What could be causing the issues?
For model number LFFH17F3QWA

Hello Mary Ann, thank you for writing. If your fridge has water pooling at the bottom, the Drain Pipe PartSelect Number PS12364877 is your probable issue. Your Drain Pipe is what carries the water all the way down to the drain pan where it eventually evaporates. When working correctly, it helps make sure your fridge has a smooth defrost cycle.

The plastic bushing in the bottom hinge broke letting the door drop and is only allowing the door to open about 6-8 inches. My husband had to leverage the door just to let get the model number. Can we order that bushing and if so where?

After getting wiring diagram off internet it was diagnosed as freezer stuck in defrost mode, temp alarm on, but fan running.
Turned gray knob on defrost timer (located bottom left back of freezer) past defrost position to verify compressor would run...it would not, but fan would run. Tested run capacitor...found borderline defective (weak, wrong value ohm meter kick). Just to be sure, removed interior shelves and interior rear and gasket to check heater at 20 ohms as OK and removed thermostat and verified contact closure after exposure in another freezer....re-installed, hooked heater back up and re-installed interior rear panel. Replaced defrost timer by unplugging 4-pin connector, then removed 2 screws that hold it to the bracket. Installed new one in reverse order. Then removed wire bail holding run capacitor to compressor plug assembly, removed run capacitor, plugged in new one. Turned on freezer......now making ice and holding cold temperature and cycling properly between freeze and defrost modes. Two problems made this repair a bit more difficult. This is the second time that defrost timer has failed...only got 3 years from last one.

replacement freezer keys
I accidently threw away both freezer keys to our upright Gibson and G.E. Freezers!!!! I had no luck finding replacements locally, so I got on the internet and came across PartSelect.com. I called them on the telephone; and after giving the model numbers of my freezers, the keys were on their way!! I received the keys very quickly and both worked perfectly. I would highly recommend Partselect.com. Charlotte M. Bishop

freezer would run then thaw then freeze. tap on the control knob, it would start running again
Easy fix. I unplugged the freezer, unload items in freezer. took out shelves and baskets, Pulled off the control knob then removed all screws. removed inside panel, replaced part exactly as I took out old part. Put the panel back on, put everything back in place. Plugged freezer back in and turned the knob to 3. Let freezer run for a day to see if I ordered the correct part. Problem is fixed. Thank you, PartSelect for making it so easy to find, order the correct part and for all the customers input to make the repair easy.
