Error e5, dryer won’t start. Keep showing that error code. Thanks
For model number NED7200TW10

Hello Mistir, thank you for your question. We would recommend testing the PartSelect Number PS11741828 control thermistor. This error code is in relation to a bad thermostat or thermistor. If that is not the issue, we would recommend testing the other thermostats in the unit. I hope this helps.

I am having difficulty removing the console portion of the dryer. As shown in an online video, the 4 screws were removed and the author of the video did say it was a little tricky and you had to press on the sides to remove it. I have tried that and more and in the process. I believe one of the l’asticot clips broke off. Before I proceed, I am looking for help before I continue to troubleshoot why my dryer does not put out any heat. Please help as my wife is impatient. Thanks.

Hi Richard, Thank you for your question. If the dryer is not heating, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. Here is a link from our website that you may reference on what parts to check, https://www.partselect.com/AdvancedModelSymptoms.aspx?ModelNum=NED7200TW10&mfgModelNum=&fkMfgID=1&ModelMasterID=118623&PID=19. If the video advised you press in on the console, there may be tabs holding it in place. You may have to try and pry the control panel off or try pressing one side to see if that side will release and then try the other side. If this does not work, you will need to contact the manufacturer for more information. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

I have an Amana dryer and broke the spade connector replacing the heating element. Cant seem to find high temp replacement, they all are too small. Its bigger than 1/4 inch. It's been a pain in the ass. Please help fix this stupid/easy problem.

Hello Marc, thank you for writing. The connector is a part of the wire harness, but sadly the wire harness for your model is discontinued. You will need to reach out to Amana directly for a substitution part number for the wire harness, or for the single connector. Please feel free to get back in touch with us if they provide substitution information. We look forward to hearing back from you!

Dryer works fine, but randomly turns on and off every few minutes for hours. I keep hearing the little chime like when you open the door or hit the power button and it's driving me crazy! I can't find anything about it on internet searches. What's going on??

Hello Josheua, thank you for your question. There is one other high limit thermostat which is High Limit Thermostat Part Number: WP35001092 that should be tested. If that part is tested and is fine the issue is probably with the electronic control board Electronic Control Board Part Number: WP35001153. I hope this helps.

Dryer did not turn when power was on.
Callled the service company to diagnose the problem. Watched him take machine apart. He found the problem. Told me the parts that I needed. Didnt know what they were. Went to partselect.com looked my model up and found parts and ordered. Followed same steps as repair guy: Two screws in back of machine then slide top off. Six screws in front to remove front door ( 4 screws on top 2 on bottom) Changed the thermostat and thermistor. Saved 320 dollars :)

no heat in the dryer
Remove dryer covers and locate heater assembly. Removed heater assembly and checked visually if the heater coil is opened, I verified this with an ohm meter. Heater Continuity was OK. Next step I checked the heater sensors. Thermal fuse with bracket had no ohm meter reading between two terminals[open circuit]. Order part#35001193 "thermal fuse" with bracket from "partsSelect.com." Assemble back in reverse order. Please note that the dryer heater was filled with lint and needed a good cleaning.

A faulty computer
First remove the top of this particular dryer, to get to the necessary screws. computer is located on the left side, and 3 screws frees it up. Then disconnect the wires. Unscrew the board, and replace!! That simple!! Unfortunately for me the bad computer melted part of the wire harness. I called maytag and drove them nuts untill they paid to replace the wire harness. I learned two simple lessons. Buy the cheapest appliances you can find because everything is made like crap these days, and if you must buy the more expensive appliances, get the extended warranty because everything is made like crap these days!!!!! Thanks partselect.com for the info, and discount prices!!
