Perfect replacement for 10 year old dishwasher part.
This was a one-for-one replacement for a broken utensil basket. Different color than the original (unlike photo, the part is actually dark gray) but who cares about that! Arrived very quickly. I would give it 5 stars if the photo color matched the actual part color.

bottom rack needed replacing
Just took it out of the box and slid it in.
Only problem I encountered, and I think it was due to the age of the dishwasher, was the newunit was not as deep as teh original rack. This will require a new method of loading dishes. Also, the new basket doesn't really fit well in the new rack.
Still cheaper than replacing a good cleaning dishwasher!

The utensil basket was old, bowed and the bottom was falling out.
I ordered a new replacement basket. The new one is a little different but it fits in the same place and takes up the same amount of room in the dishwasher. It looks very nice too.

Wash Quality Was Getting Bad
The upper arm was held in by a torx screw. The shoulder on the screw held the arm in place. Once removed I simply swapped parts and installed screw. The lower arm was held on by a plastic nut with knurled edges that you can remove by hand. The arm simply lifted off and I swapped arms again. The rollers are held on by a curled plastic lock that grips the wire basket.

The bottom of our dishwasher's old utinsel basket broke out
It was so easy to find the right part on the PartsSelect website. I just had to enter the manufacturer (Maytag) and model number and up popped skematics of all the parts available. I just clicked on the drawing of the basket and placed the order. It took less that 5 minutes. The part arrived 4 days later as promised. The repair took even less time than teh ordering. I simply took the old basket out and dropped in the new one.
I'm just happy to know there is a place that has such a user friendly website and stocks so many parts for older appliances. I had my house built in 1992 and several of the appliance are original. Fortunately I always keep the owners manuals for every piece of equipment so the model and serial numbers are readily available.

worn out silverware basket
Ordered replacement basket online at much better price than available localy. When I recieved it discovered that it did not include the handle, but was suprised to see it labeled as "Genuine Maytag Parts" ( I realy expected a knock-off replacement part for the price difference). I was able to remove tha handle from the old basket and install it on the new one. Job done. No problem

latch broke completely and then shortly thereafter due to the extra pressure put on the control panel handle lip the top part of the panal broke off.
removed all screws that held the door liner in place @ 10 then removed the 6 screws that held the control panel in place. control pane came off easily. as the latch was broken that came off easy too. The replacement panel and latch fit perfectly. the only trouble I had was inserting the flat wiring bundle from the new control panel to the old circuit board connector. Take your time and really seat the flat wire bundle into the circuit board. it needs to be nice and snug. if it's not only a few of the wash functions will light up when pressed. once the connection is tight all functions worked. replace all screws - easy.

The basket in our dishwasher had many broken parts on the bottom and the silverware kept falling through
We were happy to find the basket we needed listed on your website, even after we could not find it on the Maytag site. It was perfect. I can't believe we lasted almost 2 years with the broken basket we had.

Water leaking out of bottom of door when running
Replacing bottom spray arm to fix leaky door:
To fix the leak in the door it is necessary to replace the bottom spray arm. This is because when the lower spary arm fails it gets small splits which, when spraying, send water up into the door vent and inside the door. It then leaks out the bottom of the door to drain.
1. Take out he bottom dish rack.
2. Locate plastic nut (lower spray arm cap) on lower spray arm (see parts diagram).
3. Remove plastic nut (lower spray arm cap) by hand - it twists counter clockwise to loosen.
4. There will be a small piece (jump-up nozzle) under the plastic nut (lower spary arm cap). Note how it was situated. Place it aside with the lower spary arm cap - you'll need them both during reassembly.
5. Pull off lower spary arm and filter guard (they are attached to each other).
6. Note how the lower spray arm was attached to the filter guard. The top and bottom of the lower spray arm are not the same.
7. Unsnap lower spray arm from filter guard by pulling up on one side and then the other to removed it from the plastic clips on the filter guard.
8. Install the new lower spray arm, by snaping it into the plastic retainers on the filter guard, one side at a time. Make sure you installed it with the correct side up.
9. Remove the two metal pieces (Radient Shield)from each end of the old lower spray arm and place the on the new lower spray arm. A small flat head screwdriver is useful to assist in removing them from the old arm.
9. Place the assembly (lower spray arm and filter guard) back onto the dishwasher and place the jump-up nozzle back into position.
8. Attach the palstic nut (lower spray arm cap) and tighten clockwise until secure. Don't over tighten.
9. Slide the bottom dish rack back into position.
This will fix the problem of the leaky door. I went ahead and replaced the upeer spray arm at the same time since it was a connvient time to do so.
If you wish to do so read on.
Replacing upper spray arm.
1. Remove the bottom dish rack.
2. You can remove the top dish rack, but you don't need to.
3. Examine where the upper spray arm is attached to the dishwasher. You will see three parts. The one on the spary arm center - toward the inside of the dishwasher is the SNAP SPRAY RETAINER. Next is the UPPER SPRAY ARM itself. Next, between the UPPERT SPRAY ARM and the body of the dishwasher is the SNAP OUTLET NUT.
4. Remove the SNAP OUTLET NUT by turing it counter clockwise (remember its upside down so you have to be looking up at it to determine which way is counter clockwise). I had to use a screwdriver blade and the palm of my hand to get it to loosen - I set the blade against one of the Knurls on the nut and gave it a tap with the palm of my hand).
5. The whole assembly will drop down. Remove it from the dishwasher. Note the way the UPPER SPRAY ARM is positioned; as the two sides are different.
6. With a pair of needle nose pliers compress the wings of the SNAP SPRAY RETAINER and remove it from the assembly. The assembly is now in three pieces.
7. Replace the old UPPER SPRAY ARM with the new one - again make sure it is in correctrly, as there is a top and bottom to the spary arm.
8. Insert the the SNAP SPRAY RETAINER into the new UPPER SPRAY ARM and into the SNAP OUTLET NUT. Place the assembly back into the dishwasher by tightening down the SNAP OUTLET NUT - turning it clockwise to tighten.
9. Replace the uppper dish rack if you removed it.
10. Repalce the lower dish rack.
