The right hand door (not the one with the water dispenser) makes a loud noise when opening and closing. The noise comes from the bottom of the door. Is the door closure part the only part I need to replace? The bracket coming from the refrigerator is intact. Thank you!
For model number MFI2269VEQ10
Hi Judy,
Thank you for the question, If the hinge bracket that attaches to the refrigerator is intact the only other part I suggest replacing is the Door Stop - White, Part Number: PS2008839.
Good luck with the repair!

I've already replaced this part and the door continues to pop and drop putting stress on the hinges when we open the door. Seems the female component to which this inserts in the door needs to be replaced, but it seems there is no part for that. What now? I'm handy enough to remove the molded plastic piece in the door, but is there no replacement part for that? Also, why no metal replacement part? these doors can hold a lot of weight, and that's all supposed to rest in a tiny plastic part? I'm filing a consumer report against Whirlpool for such a shoddy design, but, partselect, you have an opportunity here to cast or 3d print a metal component that should last much longer.

Hello Heath, Thank you for the question. Very sorry but PartSelect does not make or manufacture parts. We order parts from Whirlpool and other manufactures and sell then on our website at a discounted price. We only sell OEM parts. The Female part the Door Closer inserts into is not sold on its own sorry. Whirlpool only makes and sells it is part of the door. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

The right hand door makes a click (pop) noise by the top hinge just before closing. Sometimes it will even stop the door from closing. I did some reading they all say it might be the hinge bearing. I don't see a part like that or is it the closer. Does a closer go on the top hinge?
For model number AFI2538AES4
Hi Russell, thank you for getting in touch. Your model does not have a hinge bearing. The issue is most probably with a door closer, part number PS11743547 or door hinge, part number PS11738658. We look forward to hearing from you if you need assistance with placing an order through our 7-days-a-week customer service. We hope this helps!

Just purchased a Whirlpool french door counter depth refrigerator (out of box). The closer sleeves appear to be missing; door is not mounted high enough for hinge seal to engage. Have left and right doors; do the closers (ps11743547) come in pairs, left or right or each?
For model number WRF540CWHZ
Hello Jonathan, Thank you for contacting us. I have researched the model you have provided and can confirm the Part Number: PS11743547 is correct for both the right and left side doors and are sold individually. Hope this helps!

I purchased a "closer" part # wp67003638 to replace on my Amana refrigerator right front door. There is a white plastic cap the covers the hinge bracket that attaches to the top of the unit. How do i remove it, without breaking it, so i can unscrew the top bracket so i can remove the door to replace the "closer" part on the bottom of the door?
For model number AFF2534FEW3
Hello Ronald, Thank you for your inquiry. Remove the screw that holds the cap to the hinge, then it should just pull off. Hope this helps!

Right Hand door of refrigerator not closing all the way and will not stay tight to the frame of the frig. I replaced the gasket thinking that was it. The gasket appears to be sitting right with no gaps. Not sure what else it could be.
For model number WRF535SMBW00
Hello Joseph, Thank you for the question. We suggest checking the Center Mullion Rail that flaps closed between the doors. This rail should hold the doors closed tight. Check the rail for any damage or wear. We hope this helps!

The door rapidly swings open once passed the halfway point and slams into the stop, will this bushing dampen the swing? The fridge is level, I can't see any reason why it should be opening with such force
For model number ABB1924BRW00
Hi Jesse, thank you for reaching out. Based on our understanding, the issue could be with the door closing cam, part number PS11743547. We would suggest replacing it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
