Easy repair here, the Refridge was purchased at a discount as a scratch and dent model. the damage was superfical and the parts orderd were simple remove and replace job did not take long at all to replace all parts.
Divider pantry: no tools required, simply pull out tray and remove old broken dividers and snap new divider in place.
Brace-Crisper: this takes a screw driver to remove. remove the crisper shelf and insert a screw driver to lift the plastic securing tab. slide out the frame brace and slide the new brace in place the plastic tabs will snap in to place and hold the metal frame in its position.
Grille, Toe: this grill snaps into place no tools required.
Bracket: this is the metal bracket for the front feet, there are 4 screws to remove and the bracket comes off the front of the refridge. unsrew the adjustable screw foot and screw the adjustable screw foot into the new bracket......install the 4 screws and you are done.
Trim-Shelf: no tools required simply pry the trim piece of with your fingers.....some may use a flat screw driver but this riskes scratching the trim piece. the new trim piece snaps into place.

Parts broke due to overloading crisper trays
Wife learned you can overload the cheese and fresh veggie trays and the plastic rails broke. Repair required removing parts from the old crisper frame -- no experience and no instructions. Had to study broken part and figure out how to remove parts. Released catches with a knife and, by trial and error, figured out how to install rescued components on new crisper frame with minor damage and frustration.

center rail for crisper broke when unit was about 6mo. old. Subsequently, the crisper frame broke from use without a center rail for about a year and a half.
It was a very simple operation to replace the parts and required essentially no tools, just a small screwdriver to pry up a tab for removal of the chanel on the front edge of the frame. This chanel had to be removed from the old crisper frame and installed in the new one. In addition the crisper control" had to be popped out of the old frame and into the new frame. Most of my time was spent cleaning.

Crisper Frame broke at midspan in rear; glass shelf left taking all the load
Replacement is pretty simple using the video provided on PartSelect--might just need a small screwdriver to get the front metal brace exchanged (also in video). Real issue is the frame design; it's bad.
There is no support provided for the rear edge of the shelf at midspan, which causes the frame/center rail to bow and fatigue back there, eventually breaking with constant use of the crisper drawers coupled with shelf load. To remedy this, after replacement I cut a 6 inch length of 1"x1" post, painted it gloss white, and wedged it underneath the new frame right where the center rail attaches in the back (glass shelf below provides the wedge base). There is no interference with the drawers if the wedge is against the back wall, and you really can't see it. Should work to keep the stress off the plastic. Other ways are obviously possible; this is what I had around the house.

Too much weight on shelf over time caused it to crack down middle
Removing the old pieces & figuring out how to separate the front trim so it could be reinstalled on the new frame took the longest! (released the securing tabs with a screw driver). Reinstalling the new parts were straight forward, "no problem". (epg)

Does the crisper frame replacement part include the trim piece for the top? Not sure if this trim is a separate order
For model number MFI2568AES
Hello Lynn, thank you for your question. The trim that does on the front of the frame is a separate part and does not come with the frame. The trim part number is PartSelect Number PS11750693. I hope this helps!

Why does this one piece of easily broken plastic (without the glass, the center rail, the trim , the sliders and the metal support part) cost about 10% of the whole refrigerator? This is extortionate!
Hi Anne,
Thank you for your question. We apologize that our prices are not as low as you expected. We base our prices on what we are charged by the manufacturer for the OEM parts. We try to keep our prices as low as possible, but we do also have to keep them at a level to help cover our costs. We hope this helps to explain the reasoning behind the prices. If there is anything else that we can help you with, please let us know. Thank you and have a great day.
