Kickplate support Clips failed
Replacing the support clips was simple. But since the replacements were the same as the ones that had failed, I modified them by epoxying metal strips on each side of the fingers which had failed. Without this mod I think they would have failed very shortly like the original ones did. This added a half hour to the repair.

Not making ice, leaking valve.
Dual Outlet Valve Kit- Part matched up identical to my unit. Had previously worked on leaking valve but started leaking again. Easy, simple replacement, took about 30 minutes because I installed water filtration kit also. Runs quieter than before, making ice with hardly any notice now. Felt so impressed with myself I replace the defrost timer too in 30 minutes. Runs like a new machine now. Happy customer!

Broken Kickplate Support Clip (Left side)
Unscrewed old broken part from the kickplate and attempted to install the new clip. Mounting screws would not go into the new clip. Had to drill out the mounting holes in the plastic clip using a #30 drill bit. Once the new clip was mounted, attempted to snap the kickplate back in place. Unfortunately at the left side the kickplate would not fully mate with the metal clip on the refrigerator body and would not snap all the way back to the refrigerator front surface, as the right side does. At least the kickplate doesn't fall down onto the floor on the left side as it did before. I suspect there is an alignment problem with the left side refrigerator metal clip, but have not pursued that yet.

I have part # 2155013 which is to replace broken metal clip on fridge that the kickplate fits into. Problem is i can’t figure how to remove broken clip without drilling it. That would require removing the water filter brackets. What kind of fastener or rivet is being used? What tool do I use to remove it?
