Product Description
Timer Knob Specifications
This OEM Timer Knob is a white plastic knob which can be easily installed onto your machine's timer rod, in order to control the timer. If the part breaks off, it should be replaced. Refer to your user manual and model number to see if this part is right for you. It is a three-inch-diameter part that accepts a D-shaped shaft. To replace your faulty knob, simply pull the existing knob straight off the shaft and install the replacement back onto the shaft. No tools are required. This item is sold individually and is not part of a set. The timer knob contains the insert as well as the knob itself.

Dryer knob replacement part
I couldn't believe how lucky I was to find this part online. After months of using a pair of pliers to turn on my dryer I noticed some #'s where the knob should be. After entering the correct one I came up with some websites to choose. I chose partselect.ca and was very happy I did. They had the part in stock and ordering it online was a breeze. The order was filled and shipped within a week. My husband was surprised and happy when I received the part. It fits perfectly! I totally recommend partselect.ca to anyone needing appliance replacement parts.

Fast delivery. Easy repair.
The order was for Timer Knob for Hotpoint dryer. The replacement part is identical to the original and required less than 15 seconds to install. The dryer, which is over 15 years old, is back to normal operation. Without this part I would have had to jerry-rig something or may be buy a new dryer. Thank you very much for providing this service.

Part does not work
The part that was advertised as being the correct one does not fit; sending it back will cost too much so it was a total loss.

Timer locked up, will not turn
From behind the dryer remove the panel directly behind the timer assembly (6 phillips head screws).
Take a picture at this point of how the wires are attached to the timer assembly for reference during reassembly Then remove wires with pliers. Remove T10 Torx screw that retains the timer assembly in place. Remove timer Knob (pull forward). Rotate timer assembly to pop it out.
From here, twist in new timer, use T10 torx to hold in place re-attach wires and reinstall rear panel

Hi there, my timer knob on my dryer keeps breaking/cracking/snapping off and Im not sure if it’s a poorly made part or if im not installing it right or if theres something else wrong with my machine. In the past two years I replaced it 2X and this will be a third time. What do you think……?
Hi Jackie, by the sounds of things your timer knob is sticking and you should replace it and the timer together. This part WE1M654 is the knob and this part WE4M533 is the timer you require for your model. Best of luck with this repair!

My dryer is not starting and according to your site a “common problem” is the timer knob …. How will I know this is the problem?
Hello Gabbie, great question! You should check your timer knob for visible damage such as cracks and excessive wear. If there is damage present, that is likely your problem and the knob WE1M652 should be replaced. Please let us know if you have any further questions!

The knob for the timer cracked so the timer won't work. I replaced the knob three times already because it keeps on cracking. We used pliers to turn the stick that holds the knob and now the stick broke too but still can be grasped by the plier. What needs to be replaced at this time and which parts do we need. Is it easy to replace the parts?Thank you.
