Ice Maker Working Great
Have ordered parts before and had no issues. Quick arrival is why we keep coming back. This part was on backorder for many months at another retailer. Had it from Part Select in a few days. The instructions videos are a bonus. We are very satisfied customers.

Exactly as expected, relatively easy to install
We bought this to install in a new Whirlpool upright freezer. I'm fairly handy but usually not with plumbing! I was able to get it done in under an hour with minimal hassle. Once installed it took about 2 hours to start pumping out ice. Worked like a charm!

Ice cubes are back in the house
The shipment arrived very fast. Everything was included. However, this unit was not exactly the same as the old unit. The electrical cable was way too short. And the mounting holes didn’t line up. Even a different plug on the end. We made it work by extending the cable with the end off the old unit. New ice bin doesn’t fit in our freezer. We have ice. Good job I can use a soldering iron!

Thought I had it wrong - but PartSelect were right.
Ordered this ice make to fit a Kenmore side by side. Arrived quite fast, everything in the box in great shape. Upon first attempt to install, thought we had ordered the wrong one - but discovered it was our mistake as we had not disconnected the plastic protector from the plug inside the freezer unit. Now that it is hooked up and working, can't hardly keep up with the ice it produces, which is fairly large size. However, still had to find a water connection to go from the pump to the source, and it is quite specific, but did get one. As well, the basket for the ice to drop into could be made of more durable plastic, it's not as strong as the one from my previous ice maker, but still quite good. Overall, very happy with it and would certainly order from PartSelect anytime.

Wanted to install ice maker in my freezer
I was clening my uprght freezer and noticed that it was preped for an icemaker. I first went to the Whilpool website and could not find my part as my freezer was a 2008 model.
I saw PartSelect on the search page and went to thier site.
I put in my modle number of the Whilpool Ice maker kit that was on the back of my freezer. PartSelect had the part in stock and approx $18.00 less than the other kits listed on the Whilpool site (that did not match my kit number). I orderd the kit on Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday. It took less than and hour to install. Every part I needed was included. The following day I installed the water line and now I have an extra icemaker.

installed ice maker
From the time I started to finish I worked 3 hours, this included installing the new ice maker, cutting into the cold water line in the basement and installing a t with a 6inch piece of pipe with a compression valve to connect to the small cooper tube, this is worth your time to do it this way, its a lot better connection than the small pierce valves that come with the kit, they will leak over time. I installed the filter in the waterline in the basement for easy access

I added an ice maker to a 20 year old refridgerator
I added an icemaker kit. Everything I needed was in the kit. The refrigerator was presetup for an icemaker it was just never added. The only problem I had was that the holes for attaching the water solenoid were not pre drilled so I had to drill them myself and use sheet metal screws. The icemaker is working great.

It was my first time to install a ice maker.
I first read the instruction manual then I watched the installation video. My water line to it was 3/8. Went to the local ACE Hardware to purchase a short peace of 1/4 copper tubing and the fittings to connect them together. It makes ice every 55 minutes.

This is the Whirlpool refrigerator model that I have and it already has an ice make maker that by the way, it has been replaced twice while the refrigerator was under warranty.
Now that it is out of warranty, I would like to replace the icemaker myself and would like to know if this one would be a superior model to the OEM.
Thanks!
