What a relief!
Changing that simple part made all the difference in the world. Microwave is now a "non-issue"... whereas, until then, you would never know it it would work correctly, fail, or even blow the breaker! PartsSelect came through as usual. Thanks!!!!

Sometimes when I open the microwave the light doesn’t come on and then the microwave won’t work. I have to keep opening and closing the door until the light comes on, then i can close it and it will work.
For model number WMH73521CS4
Hi Taylor, Thank you for the question. This should like an issue with the Door Switch. You can test the switch with a Multi Meter and check for continuity or have the switch replaced. Hope this helps!

When i shut the door to the microwave, the light and fan turn on automatically. If i pull on the door (but don't open it) the light and fan turn off, but if i let go, they turn on again. If i try to program the microwave to turn on to heat something, it will not. Which door switch do i need to replace? Thank you.
For model number GH5184XPB7
Hi Deb,
Thank you for your inquiry. If the microwave is turning it on by itself when you open the door then the issue is with the door switches. You will need to check them with a multimeter and verify which one needs to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

REPLACING 3 DOOR SWITCHES do the switches for this unit have any special requirements
For model number WMH73521CSO
Hi Ernest, thank you for reaching out. The door switches for this model need to have a continuous electrical path to operate. You may test them using a multimeter to verify the continuity. A zero ohm reading on the multimeter display will show that the switch has continuity. To install the switch, generally, remove the top grill by unscrewing the screws holding it. Next, remove the control panel. Remove the screws holding the switch holder and push it slightly to release it. Carefully detach the wires attached to the switch using a flathead screwdriver. To install the new switch, follow the same guidelines in the reverse order. You may use almost the same procedure for all the switches. We hope this helps!

The clock will display. But when I try to run the microwave, it will blow the slow blow fuse.
I checked check the upper door latch and it has continuity with the door open. The lower latch has continuity when the door is closed. Is this normal? I thought I had a bad switch.
For model number KHMC1857WSS0
Hi Rick, thank you for your question! Yes, it is normal. Your model has 3 door switches. Test the third one as well. If it is fine, we would recommend checking the high-voltage capacitor, part number PS11731152. We hope this helps.

I am having a problem with the door switches starting the microwave. I think it's the lower switch but i wish to replace both when i'm in the unit. If i order part #12, is it identical for both the upper and lower switches? If not, how do i order the switch unit for the upper switch and the switch unit for the lower switch? Thanks.

Microwave reading open/close door. Replace upper 3 terminal switch and bottom switch already. Is it really the third switch?
For model number WMH76719CW0
