Does everything but spin.
For model number GHWP1000M0WW
Hello Robert, thank you for contacting us. Sounds like it could be the lid switch, if that is faulty it will not allow the washer to spin. Hope this helps!

Motor continues to run once cycle is finish. Only way to turn it off is to lift the lid
For model number GTWN3000M1WS
Hi Tim,
Thank you for your question. If the motor is continuing to run after a wash cycle is over, you will need to check the timer and the lid switch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Everything on washer works, but it doesn't spin. Lid switch does ohm out. Belt looks good and it does agitate
For model number GHWP1000M0WW
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your inquiry. The agitation of your appliance is actually a separate function and has separate parts to the spinning of your machine. It seems like you may want to take a look at all of the bearings and hubs that are attached to your transmission. Just to make sure that nothing has worn down. You may also want to test your capacitor to see if it is still working. The other thing that may be causing your issue would be the transmission itself. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Water continues to overflow, we already replaced the pressure switch and tubing, but water continues to keep overflowing in all wash cycles and size of loads. Is this a issue with the timer switch or could it be something else? Thank you
For model number GCWP1000M1WW
Hi Jeanette,
Thank you for your question. It sounds like you may want to also check your water inlet valve. That would be the next part I would check after the pressure switch and the tubing. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My washer goes into a high speed spin after agitating and the centrifugal force sends water out the top and out of the flood hose. I already changed the flood gasket and checked the pressure switch. Why would the washer go into spin when it is full of water?
For model number GTWN3000M1WS
Hi Ian,
Thank you for your question. If your washer is spinning during the wash cycle, there could be an issue in the shift assembly and it will likely need to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

GE washer all controls set to off, machine sat unused for a week, no water in tub, etc.. suddenly, on it's own, it is making loud clicking noises (sounds like an electrical relay). noise occurs at random intervals 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 1 second, etc. nothing happens, but this crazy clacking noise. i checked the led flash code on the motor, and it appears normal 1 second on, 1 second off. i have cycled all the controls, and pulled the power cord. as soon as the cord is plugged back in, the clacking noise resumes. i pulled the front cover, but the noise echoes around so much that i cannot tell where it is coming from. any suggestions?
For model number GTWN3000M1WS
Hello and thank you for writing.
This is certainly a part is sending a signal to the control board, it is hard to diagnose or even guess which part would be the one that causes this issue. You would have to take a multimeter and check certain parts for defects, such as the lid switch PS1482372, timer PS3487294, temperature switch PS3499718 and water-level pressure switch PS3487292. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

water continuously fills with water replaced water inlet valve also pressure switch. Would the timer have any thing to do with this situation?
For model number GCWP1000M0WW
Hi Jacob,
Thank you for your question. If your washer will not stop filling with water and you have already replaced the water inlet valve and the pressure switch, check the water pressure hose to see if it is clogged or if there is a hole in it that would reduce the pressure. Also, check and see if it has fallen off. To test the hose, open your washer’s cabinet and locate and remove the water level switch and the water pressure hose. Once removed, plug one end of the water pressure hose, submerge it in water, and blow into the other end. An undamaged hose will not have any bubbles coming out of it.
Inspect the hose and the valve for any signs of cracking, wear, or damage. If any issues are found when performing the checks above, you may need a replacement water level switch. If this is not the issue check the water pressure in your home. If it is fine, then the issue may be with the timer and you will need to test it for continuity with a multimeter to see if it is working correctly. Set your multi-meter to the Rx1 setting, place the probes on the timer contacts (as noted by your wiring diagram) and press and hold down on the switch’s button. You are testing for continuity and should receive a reading of zero or nearly zero. If you do not receive this reading, you will need a replacement start switch. We hope this helps! Good luck with the repair!
