Lid Lock & Switch Assembly

Hi Bob, Thank you for your question. Without knowing what light is flashing I can only guess. I am assuming that it is your lid lock that is flashing, usually to get rid of that you would press and hold the Start/Cancel button for about 30 seconds and that would stop it from flashing. Hello Peter, thank you for your question. This part is the locking switch, and the switch housing. It does not include the wire harness, but that part shouldn't have to be removed unless there is damage to the wires themselves. I hope this helps!

Hi Charles, Thank you for your question. If the washer is filling part way and shuts off the issue could be the door latch lid lock. Hi Simon, Thank you for your question. If you have already replaced the start switch and the lid sensor, then you should check the door latch lid lock, part number PS3496878. The door latch lid lock is to lock the door on your washer when the appliance is in use. Your washer will not start if your door is not locked. If your latch is broken, you may not be able to start a cycle or open your washer door. You will need to test the door latch with a multi-meter. With your multi-meter on the Rx1 setting, touch the probes to the terminals, then press and hold the switch button down. You should receive a reading of zero. If you do not receive this reading, you will need a replacement lid switch.I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Hello Aidan, Thank you for the question. The Lid Lock may not show physical damage to be defective. The switch could be defective in the Lid Lock and causing it not to send the signal the Lid it Locked or allow it to actually lock. We recommend replacing the Door Latch Lid Lock.
