The two bulbs used to illuminate the cooking surface below my LG microwave are rated at 75w and 250v. Would a 30w and a 125v bulb substitute?

The 2 light bulbs that illuminate the lower of microwave burnt out and made a popping sound. We got 2 new light bulbs and they did not work.

Is this light bulb suppose to be a 2 way bulb (hi-lo)

No, it is not.
This is a light bulb and it is a part of your microwave. This bulb uses 30 watts, operates on 125 volts, and is an incandescent lamp. The function of this bulb is to illuminate the surface underneath and inside of your appliance while the door is open, and during a cooking cycle. You will need to replace this part if your door is open and the light is not activated. We recommend that you unplug your microwave and leave it inactive for some time before making this repair. Proceed with caution as the capacitors in a microwave can hold dangerous electrical charges for long periods of time even when the appliance has been unplugged. We hope this helps.
