The part was identical to the old one - Easy to install - Works great
The assembly arrived with a broken plastic bracket next to where the water entrance is located. I think that the packing in the shipping box was insufficient. I was able to remove and use the bracket from the old unit. Other than that, it works great and was an easy install.

It was indeed an easy repair. 5 min.
Product arrived as advertised. I did not need the supplied wire harnesses as it was just a matter of plugging in the existing wire. The instructions supplied and accompanying video were extremely helpful. Thanks very much. Very satisfied.

Ice Maker quit working, I could manually cycle unit but then the water would overflow when unit was re-filling.
I backed out the 2 top screws about a quarter inch and then removed bottem screw with a quater inch nut driver. I then lifted Ice Maker clear of the two top screws and lowered it enough to unclip the power connection with a small screwdriver. The new Ice Maker was wired correctley for my refrigeator so all I had to do wea reconnect the power connection and mount new Ice Maker on the two top screws and install the bottem screw. It took e while for the new Ice Maker to start it's cycle but after it did, it worked GREAT. Part Select service was OUTSTANDING, ordered part one day and received the next. THANKS!!!!

No Ice in the Ice Maker
I am NOT a handyman, and my family laughed at me when I said I was going to fix the ice maker all by myself. I ordered a replacement ice maker. When it arrived, I opened the box and read the instructions. It seemed easy. I removed the old ice maker, with a socket set. I then took off the shut off lever from the old one and placed it on the new one, since the new one didn't come with it. I then put the new one in place. All the parts fit perfectly. The ice machine was making ice within an hour. My family was amazed... and I got the last laugh!

Original icemaker would only make 1 or 2 cycles in a 24 hour period
The repair was extremely easy; after turning off the water valve on the back of the refrigerator, I removed the 3 screws (using a short length nut driver due to the confined space) and unplugged the harness. I did not need to splice the harness on the original ice maker and I simply plugged it into the new ice maker, screwed the unit back on and turned the water back on. It's great to have plenty of ice without having to use the ancient ice trays.
My wife had overloaded the original plastic Pan-Crispr basket with too much cheese which caused the flange to break. The replacement basket from Partselect was an exact match and simply slid in.
I'll definitely come back to Partselect for accessories and parts.

Leaking tray created iceberg but few ice cubes!
Received my kit quickly. Job was fast and easy. Removed 3 screws with nutdriver and unpluged the wiring harness. Use a flat blade screwdriver to lift the tab on the plastic end cap of the harness. The icemaker comes out in one piece. The wiring harness that came installed on the replacement icemaker matched mine perfectly. (It comes with two others). I plugged the new one in, replaced the screws, bottom one first to help hold it while replacing the top two screws. I used the shut-off arm from my faulty icemaker. Turned the power back on and put 1/2 cup of water in the tray and walked away. Ice dropping into the bin was music to my ears. Didn't need any of the clips or things that came with the icemaker. It was basically a "plug and play". I'm so happy to have ice again, and at a great savings!

No ice, water to dispenser OK
Originally replaced water inlet valve, not the problem. Tried to work from cheap to expensive.
1. Turn off power, shut off water supply
2. Loosen top two screws of ice maker (will slide up and off, no need to take top two out)
3.Remove bottom screw from ice maker
4.Pulled unit, snapped out existing wire harness
5.Cut hole for water inlet on end of new unit and attached wire icemaking on/off bracket.
6 Connected existing wiring harness to new unit
7. Slid new unit down onto top two screws, put in bottom screw and tightened all three
8. Turned on power and water supply
Had ice being made within two hours. Part Select has given me great service, highly recommend.

Icemaker would not stop putting out water, then would not make ice
First, I unplugged the power to the entire fridge, and then removed the ice tray and ice door. Next, I unplugged the flat plug in the very back left behind the icemaker. Then I removed the 1/4" hex head sheet metal screws (2) and the phillips head screw (1) that hold the icemaker to the left side of the freezer wall. New icemaker came with a different style trip arm, so I used it. Plugged new icemaker in before reattaching it with the same (3) screws. Replaced ice tray and door, plugged in fridge, and waited....Dumped its first batch of ice maybe a couple of hours later. Not much trouble-shooting is needed when the entire icemaker is as easy and relatively inexpensive to replace as this. Twenty minutes, max.

Ice Maker Stopped Making Ice
I had a technician called out to the house to look at repairing several appliances that all have broken parts after just 3 yrs of use. Hood, Microwave, Oven, Fridge all in need of minor repairs..
Anyway - the estimate was $240 to replace the ice maker. I ordered PS358591 for $104. and it came in a couple days.. I took out one screw - slid out the icemaker, unplugged it - plugged in new one and slid it in the slot - and done !! Took about 20 mins.. didnt need any of the wiring harnesses in the box from partselect. Was way to easy to do !!
Thank you !

Ice Maker stopped working due to defective timing gear
I removed two screws on the top and one underneath the unit. Then I disconnected the cable. The hardest part was getting the nut driver on the bottom screw because it was obscured by the unit. The replacement unit plugged right in! I got my first batch of ice in about 20 minutes. All I really needed was the timer unit, but the entire ice maker wasn't much more expensive, especially when you consider the time saved on installation!

Ice maker is not making ice. It does not appear water is going into the tray area, yet water is coming into the refr. As you can still use the water glass fill, at the door. I could always order a new ice maker, but hate to do same, removing and installing a new one and finding the problem is elsewhere. Help!
For model number ed2chqxkq05
Hello Alan, thank you for contacting us. That sounds like it would be the icemaker control assembly. This part controls all the ice maker functions as well as the solenoid which controls the water flow to the ice maker. When this fails you will still get water to the dispenser as the water inlet valve still works properly. Hope this helps!

How do i set the water level in my ice maker
For model number 4317943
Hello Rudy, Thank you for your inquiry. The ice maker has an adjustment screw that needs to be turned to set the water level. Remove the cover of the icemaker. The adjustment screw is on the right side of the control module. Turn the screw clockwise to reduce the water level, but no more than 2 complete revolutions. Hope this helps you!

My ice maker stopped producing ice. I thought it had to do with the arm not initiating the ice making mechanism, as i believe i tinkered with it a bit and it worked for a little bit more. Also i just realized there is no water coming out of the water dispenser (it has always been pretty low flow, perhaps a filter issue). Any suggestions? Do i just get the replacement ice maker or could the issue have to do with water?
For model number Whirlpool ED5HEXNB00
Hello Cameron, thank you for your question. It sounds like you may have a water flow issue. If the water is slow to the dispenser, and the icemaker wasn't work, then was tinkered with and worked for a bit more the water may not be coming into the icemaker enough to make the ice. I would suggest replacing the Water Inlet Valve Part Number: W10408179 and perhaps the filter, if it hasn't been changed in a while. If the issue continues with the icemaker, we would recommend testing the icemaker to determine if its an issue with the motor module, which is basically like the timer for the icemaker. It calls for ice, allows the water to freeze, activates the dump cycle then calls for more water. I hope this helps!

Ice maker makes the ice but won’t dispense it. Then it turns the ice in the ice maker to become a solid iceberg. Could this be the points and/or the module? Help!
For model number ED25DQXAW00
Hello Cynthia, Thank you for the question. I suggest removing the Ice Bin and check it over for any damaged parts. Also make sure there is no ice build up preventing it from dispensing ice. If the parts are all good but the dispenser motor in the ice bin is not working to turn the auger, it may need to be replaced. PartSelect Number PS11739113. Hope this helps!

Ice maker 4317943 stopped making ice. I get water from dispenser and also when I close the circuit on the module so I think the water valve is ok. The tray and heater are in good shape. The strange thing is if I fill the tray with water eventually it will make cubes. Also the thermostat test ok. I replaced the module and no change. Any thoughts?
For model number 106.57071791
Hello Gerard, Thank you for the question. The Valve has 2 ports, for the ice maker and the water dispenser. It is possible the Valve could be defective. You can check with a multi meter to see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. Please see the link below for help testing a Water Valve as well. We hope this helps.

I'm having problems with ice maker or in that area. What tells the water to shut off after it fills tray, is there a sensor in ice maker? The problem is water is not shutting off sometimes and makes a frozen waterfall in freeze (what doesn't hit the hardwood floors) thank you
For model number jrsd2490t
Hi Terry, Thank you for your question. There would be two parts that could cause this issue. It is either the ice maker is calling up too much water, or the water inlet valve is sending up too much water. I would suggest testing your water inlet valve first, to make sure it is not malfunctioning. If that part is fine then it would be your ice maker that is the problem. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Hi - the part to my icemaker that guides the water into the dispenser is broken in the sense that the plastic detached from the holder, but I can and have manually put it into its proper place and it continued to work. I think my husband knocked it loose and then water went all over the insides of the freezer. I was worried that something inside was broken because I found a bit of water on the floor. I'm sorry to say i have a very dirty water filter that needs replacing. Could a dirty filter cause a water backup problem? Additionally, the water pan under the refrigerator does not have any water in it, but when I looked in there today, after I had shut off the water supply to the refrigerator, there was something that resembled black dirt in the tray. I wondered if there would be any sort of rubber or spongy material insulating anything that could have crumbled into the tray from being dry or frayed from age? Thanks for any direction with this!
For model number KSCS25FJSS01
Hi Cathy, Thank you for the question. The inlet tube just pushes into place so it may have just been bumped. If you were able to reinsert it and it is working then you will be fine. If the filter needs to be replaced the water flow will be slow or stop and it can cause a leak. The dirt in the tray could just be dirt. The fan helps evaporate the water in the try so it is normal not to see water sitting in the tray. There is no foam or filter in the tray to absorb or insulate. Hope this helps!

For model number whirlpool 4317943
Hello Kenneth, Thank you for your inquiry. It can take about 24 hours for it to start producing ice, and since it usually dumps around every 1-2 hours, it can take 24 to 48 hours to fill the ice bin depending on the side. Hope this helps!
