How do you remove the upper hinge bearing from a Frigidaire refrigerator door? It has spurs on the bottom that are not accessible preventing its removal. Thanks.
Hi Steve,
Thank you for your question. You have to break the rim off of the bearing and then push in the upper edges of inside your bushing. Then with a pair of pliers you just pull the part out of the door. You will have to use quite a bit of strength to pull the part out. Make sure to be careful of your wiring as well. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My door does not close by itself like it used to. Will this upper hinge bearing replacement solve the problem?
Hi Alvin,
Thank you for your question. It could be the part you would need to change. You might also have to look at any cams you might have an your hinge itself. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
