The Water - Ice selector buttons broke - plastic
Remove two Phillips screws under the edge, slide panel up. Undo two plug in connectors. Remove printed circuit board. Install circuit board into new part and reconnect plugs. Spend the next hour trying to get the panel to slide into place. The new part is molded plastic and does not fit the fridge front and I had to spend hours sanding and trimming the new T slides to fit the metal female T slide receptacles. Unfortunately, the new part does not seem to be an improvement of the old part, so use the buttons VERY carefully as I suspect they will also fail in the future and this plastic replacement part is very expensive.

Part 102 not getting the Turbo cool temperature for the top of the refrigerator to a cool temperature
Hello and thank you for writing.
The fresh food temperature will revert to the coldest setting for an 8 hour period or until TurboCool is turned off (whichever comes first). It maximizes the cooling ability of the fresh food compartment. To turn the feature on or off, press and hold the Fridge pad for 3 seconds.
One of the most common causes of a GE refrigerator, not turbo cooling properly is a problem with the self-defrosting functions. The parts likely to cause the problem are the defrost thermostat PS8688283, defrost heater PS6883666 or the temperature sensor PS6883666. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
