the cold water would not stop from draining into the wash tub
unscrew the top from the back. lift it up. Support the top and then unplugged the old valve, unscrewed it took the drain hose off it and presto the old came right out. align the new one was a little tricky and attached the drain hose and tightened the screw hook up the wires reattach the top and I was done. 30/45 minutes. I was really surprized that the part I ordered was the same one I took out. Thanks for being there.

After my wash is done water still drips out of the water area and my closes are soaked again if i don't take them out asap. I can turn off the water valve in the back on the wall and the water stops coming out so is that a bad water valve?
For model number fex8310cs0
Hi Melissa,
Thank you for your question. If there is water leaking into the washer after the washer has been turned off, then the issue is with the water inlet valve and it will need to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Is there anywhere I can watch a video, or read the procedure for accessing the water inlet valve on a Frigidaire washer/dryer combo? This is a stacked unit and accessing the water valve seems complex due to the stacked nature of the unit. There is no easy access to the rear of the lower cabinet, as there is in with most washers. I simply need to know hot to get to the water valve. Back plate doesn't come off independently, nor does the right side, as you're looking at the unit. Help!
For model number FGZ831AS2
Hi Curtis,Thank you for the question. To access the water valve you need to remove the 2 screws at the bottom of the front panel and pull the front panel forward from the bottom to release the panel.Once the panel is removed there should be a screw on either side that will allow you to remove the main top. The water valve is located on the back wall on the right hand side. Hope this helps!

My washer is filling up very slowly? It never did before. I do have sulfa water? Do i need to clean something that might be plugged with something? I have had this washing machine since 2006. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, connie
For model number GLWS1233AS2
Hello Connie, thank you for your question. It sounds like the water inlet valve screens are clogged. You can try to clean them out but they are quite difficult as the screens don't actually come out of the valve, you'd have to do your best cleaning job on them when the screens in the unit. Usually we recommend customers replace the valve when the water flow starts to decrease. I hope this helps!

This is a stackable unit. Do I have to remove the upper dryer unit? Thanks.
For model number Glet1031cs0
Hi Ralph, Thank you for the question. Since the top needs to be removed to access the valve the dryer will have to be also removed. Hope this helps!
