Ice maker dispenser in door would not shut off
Went to oartselect.com located diagram and part. Took out ice drawer to prevent ice being dispensed. Remove small front panel in door for ice- water & cubes, 2 square tip screws on top. Remove small grey panel, 2 Philips head screws, remove ice dispenser unit 2 Philips screws, unplug 1 wire connector.
Insert ice dispenser unit from partselect.com, connect wire connector, screw in 2 Philips head screws, place cover panel in position and screw in 2 Philips head screws, place small grey panel in position and screw in 2 square tip screws. Put ice drawer tray back in refrigerator, try water, try crushed ice, try cubes. FINISHED, just saved yourself a couple of hundred dollars in less than an hour. My wife said she could do it after watching how easy it was.

A piece of the ice dispenser that held the spring that closed it broke
I first opened the breaker controlling the outlets by the refrigerator. After verifying there was no power to the refrigerator, I removed the screws holding the trim façade in place and removed it. Next I removed the screws holding the control board in place and removed it from its position and then disconnected the wires connecting it to the ice dispenser module. I then used the diagonal cutters to cut the flex-tie holding the water inlet tube in place. Next I removed the screws holding the ice dispenser module in place and unclipped the water inlet tube from it and removed the whole unit. I then attached the water inlet to the new dispenser, flex-tied it in place and reversed the above stated process. Once completed, I restored power and everything worked well.

I’ve auger wasn’t turning..after replacing the auger motor we realized that it was something else.. after some research we thought it might be the ice dispenser module
Removed a few screws from the front panel and unplugged the wire harnesses. Pulled the old module out and put in the new one in. It was super simple and fixed the problem.

My fridge will not dispense ice or water. Is the Ice & Water Module the most likely problem?
Thank you.
For model number FGHC2331PFAA
Hi Mike, thank you for contacting us. Based on our research, you may need to check the following parts to fix the issue: water inlet valve, part number PS7784018, water filter, part number PS2364646, water inlet tube, part number PS2361205, and fill tube, part number PS6448034. If checking these does not fix the issue, then you may need to replace the ice dispenser module, part number PS8692021. We hope this sorts out your problem!

Will not switch from crush to cubed. Replaced solenoid, is this the next part to troubleshoot or do I need to look for something else.
For model number FGHC2331PF7
Hello Richard, Thank you for the question. I suggest removing the Ice Bucket to let any ice build up melt preventing it from switching from crushed to cubed. On the back of the Bucket there is a metal arm that extends out, make sure the arm is moving freely. If the bucket is good, you may have a defective Control Board with Touchpad, PartSelect Number PS8746698. Hope this helps!

Water dispenser suddenly started to spill water all over floor. What could be the issue?
For model number FGHS2355PF6B
Hello Mike, thank you for writing. If water or ice continuously dispense, the dispenser lever or switch may be stuck in the "pushed in" position. This is generally caused by residue build-up on the dispenser. The suggested part is the Ice Dispenser Module PS8692021 if you cannot get it unstuck. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.

THE ICE AUGER DOES NOT TURN BUT DOES TURN IN DIAGNOSTICS. GAVE ONLY CRUSHED ICE IN DIAGNOSTICS. ICE CHUTE FLAPPER CYCLES OPEN AN CLOSED REPEATATIVELY IN NORMAL MODE. DIAGNOSTICS SHOW FLAPPER MICRO SWITCH WORKING AS WELL AS AUGER. THIS MORNING AUGER RAN NOW DOES NOT. ICE MAKER MAKES ICE. STUMPED
For model number FGHC2331PF8
Hi Don, thank you for the question. Based on our understanding, we would recommend checking the auger motor first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the dispenser control board, part number PS16555508. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope that helps!

Everything works; but, the clear plastic vertical lever just below the entire water disperser kit, when pushed back for water or ice does not return forward to automatically shut off the water or ice flows. Before I take this all apart, is there something simple like a spring or auto catch that returns this lever back to auto shut-off. Pulling it forward by hand each time works but there is no guarantee that water and ice flows will occur when unattended.
For model number FGHS2631PF2
Hi Barry, thank you for the question. According to our research, you may need to check or replace the whole ice dispenser module, part number PS8692021, as there are no such individual parts available that may be faulty. We hope this helps!
