The new door was not exactly like the old one
The old design was easier to install than the new one. I assume that the new part was changed to make it less expensive to manufacture. Installation of the new part was difficult but doable. Basically, the bottom of the door was located on the hinge tab and the top was then rotated into place until it snapped into place. Some force was required to get the door into place. A large screw driver was used to force the top hinge down so the door could be rotated onto the hinge tab. It would be possible to damage the door if too much force was used.

Our old microwave oven door latch broke (plastic tabs which held the locking mechanism in place). Repair was impractical. A new door assembly was required.
I simply followed instructions provided with the replacement door. A butter knife was used to gently pry open the panel enclosing the inside of the door. Removing the panel exposed the pins holding the door on its supports. Once the old door was lifted off, a similar operation with the new door allowed it to be set in place. The inside panel was gently snapped back into place and - bingo - job finished in about 5 minutes! (In all fairness, I had learned how to remove the inside door panel while diagnosing the problem with the old one. That probably saved me 10-15 minutes on the final repair.)

Door cracked and fell apart
The door was an easy off easy on type, we slipped the old door off quickly. It was a bit tricky getting the new on for some reason . It took a few tries.
WE were most impressed with the speed and accuracy in getting the parts from Parts Select I got the correct replacement door the very next day, and we did not request any expedited handling.

Old door broken from excessive teenager use.
I bought the door assembly online while in Afghanistan. My wife who has no mechanical ability installed the door in less than 15 min. She used a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the hinges (they returned to their original position afterward) by applying pressure on the bottom hinge and removed the old door. Repeat to put the new one on. Most of the time was figuring out how to get the old door off.

Installing the upper door hinge would attach
My model had a cover on the interior trim around the glass that when removed allowed the door to lift off. The new one did not.
I removed the interior trim and swapped them. You can probably remove the trim to remove or install the new door. Reinstall the trim when the door is on.

Door would not close (broken latch)
I gently lifted with a screwdriver the inside plastic encasing on the side of the hinges, without removing the encasing completely. Had to do this to be able to lift door up and onto the upper hinge. Placed the door into position by gently moving it towards the wide-open position.
(Felt proud of myself because there were no instructions included in the box with the replacement door.)

The door had a crack and the handle was broken off.
It was simple, just used a flathead screwdriver for a little leverage at the top hinge and it slid right on.

I need to replace the door and handle. I can't tell from your picture whether the handle is included. If not, do you have that?
For model number GLMV169DBD
Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your question. This does come with your handle. However if you would just like the handle itself I have listed that part information in a link down below. Good luck with your repair.

Installation instructions for complete door assembly on Frigidaire over the stove microwave?
For model number GLMV169DBC
Hi Paul,
Thank you for your question. This is fairly easy repair to do. You will need a Phillips head screw driver and Torx 10 screw driver. Before you begin any repair please unplug the appliance from the electrical outlet or turn the circuit breaker off. Using the Phillip's head screw driver unthread the 2 screws securing the vent grille. Tilt the grille to release the tabs at the bottom of the grille and remove it. Using the Torx 10 screw driver take the top hinge screw out. Slide out the top of the door from the hinge and lift the door up off of the bottom hinge. Repeat the steps in reverse to install the new door and restore power to the microwave. The microwave should now work for you. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Need complete instructions to install a replacement door for the micro wave oven. I already have the complete door.
For model number GLMV169DBC
Hi Paul, thank you for your question. This installation is fairly easy. First you would need to cut power to the appliance. Then you will have to remove the vent grill above the door. Once you do that you have exposed the screw that holds the door into the hinge. Remove that on top there and you will then be able to remove the door. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
