bottom dishwasher rack kept getting hung up in dishwasher. Oven light burned out, one oven rack missing at time of home purchase.
It was a "snap" to repair diswasher wheels(snapped off the old and replaced witht the new ones) and bumpers(heated them in hot water first so as not to break them before snapping them into place)!
Oven rack simply needed to be placed into the oven.
Hardest part of this project was replacing the light bulb. Removed two screws that held glass lens/metal frame in place. Twisted bulb left to remove it. Glass bulb released itself from the metal base instead of coming out as one piece, so I had to disconnect the power source, then get plastic handeled pliers to remove the metal base that was still inside the socket. Once that was removed, the new bulb was placed into the socket, power was reinstated and "wa-lah!" there was light in the oven again! Hooray!

50 year old oven racks in bad shape
Parts no longer available so we went to several appliance stores and measured racks. We found a jenair model had racks that measured correctly got the model number and ordered the racks. There working great and now the oven looks like new. Our kitchen is a restored 1956 GE metal kitchen in Cadilac pink. Thanks guys for the fast service and very resonsble price. Was also very happy to find the racks were made in USA.

What are the dimensions of the oven rack. I am looking for a rack with the dimensions of 17.5 x 17.5 roughly

Thank you for contacting us. Unfortunately the manufacturer does not give us specifications on their parts, at all. However this part is photographed on a one inch grid background, so that customers can get an approximate size for the part. The approximate size of this part is 20" x 16".
