Product Description
Crisper Cover Support - Front Specifications
This crisper cover front support is used to keep the crisper shelf in place and may need replacing if the door will not open or close. This white, OEM part measures roughly 1 inch in diameter and can be used for the front and the rear support, as designed by the manufacturer, and mounts to the inside cabinet wall. Replacing this part is an easy repair, and will require a small flat blade screwdriver, a putty knife, and a soft hammer. Remove the crisper and shelf from the refrigerator before replacing the support. The crisper cover front support is held in place with a locking pin. To remove the old part, you will first need to push the pin into the interior of the cabinet using the screwdriver, and then you can pull the support out with a putty knife. If you cannot get the pin out you can use a flat-blade screwdriver to push it down and out of sight and it will not harm anything in your refrigerator After removing the pin and attaching the new support, simply use the soft hammer to lock the new pin in place.

Support studs were broken
Used pliers to remove the residual broken stud that was still attached to the wall of the refrigerator, and then just pushed the new part in place. The longest time was spent in removing the food and crisper drawers.

had broken sheves on the doors and the crisper drawers weren't suported
The only difficult aspect of the job was getting the old shelf support stud removed from the refrigerator wall - the support was broken off too short to allow vise grips to hold it. I had to use two screwdrivers to get under and then pop out the stud to the point I could get the pliers to hold. Everything eles pretty much just "fell together" very easily.

Broken plastic guides on both crisper drawer covers. Upper crisper pan broken. Broken supports.
Remove both crisper pans and covers. Discard old frames and re-use glasses. Use two screw drivers to gently pry out broken supports. Top broken off smooth on one support. Unable to grasp with pliers to pull out. I drilled a small hole in the center of the large expansion pin. I screwed in a small sheet metal screw. Used side cutter pliers to grasp screw and gently rock back and forth to remove center of large pin. Plucked out broken pieces with needle nosed pliers. Gently tap in expansion pins to install new supports. The rest is simple re-assembly using new parts. "Nothing to it but to do it."

door bins broken and crisper cover support broken
Replacement of bins were simple the crisper cover supports were a little more time consuming since the manufactured piece were glued in. I used a tool that has a 30% tip and hooked the support and pulled in out part of the way and pulled the rest out with my fingers. All in all a simple job...I took the opportunity to do an addition cleaning of the inside of fridge with my extra time. Would also like to say that my parts were delivered within 24 hours of ordering them and the website made purchasing easy and no second guessing, since the model had an exploded version of all the parts available. Thank you

2 broken shelving supports
The shelving brackets are install much like a blind rivet. I simply used a punch and gently pushed in the plastic center pin / mandrel. I then used a butter knife as a wedge to pull out the shelving supports enough to grab them with a pair of pliers. Simple to do!

When I try to pull pry the support off, the inner liner of the fridge is coming out with it. How do I take it out without breaking anything?
Hello Vince, in center of the supper there is a small circle, you will have to puncture this to remove the support without damaging your fridge. First, we recommend pushing it in, using a putty knife to pry the support off, and then using a pair of pliers to remove the pin. If you cannot get the pin out you can use a flat blade screwdriver to push it down and out of sight and it will not harm anything in your refrigerator. I hope this helps!

You answered another question saying that part# 241993101 is now used for the front and back support. The back support was just a pin so how does it work now?

For the model number you have provided, you need PartSelect Number PS2358879. There is a video listed under the part informatio0n on how to install. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

So my crisper drawers keep falling off and I assumed it was because my supports are broken. But I looked at them closely and they seem to be fine and the right make/model. Is my fridge expanding or my drawers shrinking? Is that a thing? How do I fix this
Hi Alice, sometimes the lines in a refrigerator can warp. What you can do is make sure your drawers are not damaged and that your supports are in good condition on the unit. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Something happened electrically that won't let my ice dispenser work. It makes ice but won't dispense. The same is happening to my ice water, it won't come out when lever is pushed. The main wires coming up to feed these 2 is dead. I want to get this working again even if I have to run 2 more wires manually from where the wires are hot. Is this possible?
