Showing 5ycf on display. What am i up against? How serious is problem?
For model number LGHC2342LF0
Hi Wesley,
Thank you for your inquiry. If you are getting the error code 5YCF then you will need to replace both the the main electronic control board at the bottom of the refrigerator in the back as well as the control board in the dispenser. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Right now it's showing sy ce.Does this mean it is bad and needs to be replaced. And how do you get the control panel out so you can replace it.
For model number FGHB2844LF3
Hi Ted,
Thank you for sending in your question. SY CE error code, this means there is a communications issue. This communication problem is caused by either a wiring issue, wire harness issue or faulty control board. I would start with checking to making sure the wiring is all intact and the wire harness that plugs into the control board did not come lose. If everything appears good with the wiring then you will need to replace the control board. When replacing the control board you now have to also replace the Power Board down at the bottom of the appliance behind the kick plate. The manufacture has made some changes to the parts and in order for them board to work they both need to be replaced.
When removing the display trim to access the display board, use a thin plastic scraper to pry the trim off until the clips pop loose and release the trim and expose the board.
Hope this helps!

Freezer, intermittently will not be at the set temperature of 6*. I.E., i get up at 3:00a.M. To go to work, the display shows 17* and the thermometer i put in side the freezer shows 20*. Another time the display shows 10* and i have seen it as high as 21*. Can the ps3503319 board be the problem?
For model number FGHB2844LFE
Hi Anthony,
Thank you for your question. If the freezer section is too warm the electronic control board is one part that you will need to check. Some other parts that you will need to check are the evaporator fan motor and fan blade, the filter-drier, the sensor and the defrost thermostat. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The display on the control board keeps on beeping and the temperature reads 6 when I try to fix it, it will not respond to anything that I press. Everything works in the fridge. But now I can`t use the water or ice dispenser.

I just replace the control panel with your parts, the control lock is (lock and not responding to the 3 sec hold) the sy-ce code remain, can it be over rode, or what can I do?
For model number LGHS2644KM1
Hello Raymond, Thank you for the question. The Error Code SY CE is a Communication error during powering up. This indicates a problem with wiring to and from the main control board and the user interface board. If the parts have been replaced, I suggest checking the wiring. Hope this helps!

My Frigidaire refrigerator's electronic board does not come on. As a result, I am unable to set the temperature levels. I had a power outage at the time this occurred. What things should I be checking?

Good morning, my Frigidaire keep going on and off (the fan motor in the back of the unit keeps going on and off). The code reads sy ce , I called you guys and I was told it was a part # 241973711 control board. I ordered it but the board looks a little different. So I'm asking if you can check into this code and let me know what part I need. Thanks, ken

No error code but when the water/ice dispenser is set for ice (both cube and crushed) and the lever is pushed their is a click but does not dispense any ice. If i release and press the lever several times it will finally dispense ice. At first i only had to press the lever a couple of time but now it takes at least a half a dozen time of pressing and releasing the lever before it will dispense ice.
For model number FGHB2844LFE
Hi Mike,
Thank you for your question. There are a couple of parts that you should check first. I would suggest checking your ice solenoid assembly. Then checking your module dispenser as well. If both of those parts are fine, it may be your board that is the issue. You can test your solenoid with a multi meter to be sure it is functioning correctly. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I am no longer able to toggle between water, cube and crush. It's stuck on crush. Not sure what needs replaced. This is a Frigidaire gallery french doors
For model number LGUB2642LE3
Hello Dusten, thank you for your question. If you can make the different selections on the control panel but the unit will only dispense crushed the issue could be the solenoid PartSelect Number: PS8691994. If you are unable to select cubed on the control panel the electronic control board PartSelect Number: PS3503319 should be replaced. I hope this helps.
