Inside the refrigerator, on left side, there's a button for water dispensing. The water drips from dispenser constantly and steadily. Do you know if this is a water valve issue ( back of fridge, feed line connects to water & ice) or is it the switch at the dispenser?
For model number MFD2560HES

Hi Peter, Thank you for the question. Yes, I recommend replacing the water valve, PartSelect Number PS11743618. If the valve is stuck open a bit it will allow the water to flow tot he dispenser and drip. Hope this helps!

I tried to use the water dispenser and no water came out so i replaced the water filter and pushed and i heard it click for a half a second and then it made no sound or any water after i pushed it. Would that be a limit switch problem and if it is how do i get the face plate off to replace it? The button, for the water dispenser, is on the inside of the refrigerator.

Hi Roger, Thank you for your question. It could be your limit switch. We do not have any installation information on this part exactly but this is a video that we have on how to take apart that area: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=20L52LEtPNY&t=64s . I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The water dispenser stopped working. Just changed to a new water filter. I run the water through filter filled up several glases to make sure the filter was operating correctly. No problem at that time. After 24hrs, the water stopped working. The panel lights was still on. Reset the filter light that was red to Green. Turned off the dispenser light. Everything went off on the control panel. It doesn't lit up or provides water or ice . . . ? Not sure what the issue might be. Ps. I even brought back the old filter to make sure the new waterfilter was not at fault. Thanks for your help. Stefan

Hello Stefan, thank you for your question. We would recommend unplugging the unit for about 5 minutes to see if that fixes the issue. If it does not, it sounds like the dispenser control board Part #: PS11743557, would have to be replaced. I hope this helps!

Hi Kenneth, thanks for the question. Based on what you have told me, it seems that once you installed the water filter, your refrigerator is only dispensing a limited amount of water, if any at all? When your refrigerator experiences this symptom, it is most often an indication of a problem with the water filter itself. Sometimes when you install a new water filter it will sputter a little when you operate it initially, which is normal. You may want to ensure you have the correct water filter installed, and in the case of your model, the one you are looking for is PS11722130. I would also recommend you take a look at our repair guide by entering your model number into our website and diagnosing your symptom. There are in fact some other parts that may be causing the problem, but the water filter is the most common. I hope this helps. Best of luck with the repair.

Hello, my ice maker will not run or fill with water. I have replaced the complete ice maker and the water valve with news ones from your website, and checked water flow. The water in the door will fill a glass in less than a couple seconds. I have also tried to jump the ice maker but it appears the ice maker has no power. I also rechecked all electrical connections at both the ice maker and water valve and they are clean and connected. Any suggestions on my next step. Thanks mike

I pushed for water inside the fridge as I believed water was filling the ice maker. I think it made a noise and no water will come out of inside the fridge. The pump seems to be working and ice continues. I am guessing I did something to the valve. What do you think it could be?
For model number KBFA25ERSS01

Hello Damon, Thanks for your question. That is a likely possibility - we would recommend testing the water inlet valve with a multimeter for signs of electrical continuity and replacing it if it shows no continuity. Test the limit switch as well. You may also want to replace the water filter if it has been 6 months since the last time you changed it. I hope this helps.

Water was shutoff by city. When tried to use water dispenser it took a while for water to circle through filter so in kept my finger pressed. When water came through, it didn’t stop. When I removed filter, water stoped dispensing but filter unit started leaking. Only way to stop it is to shut water to fridge. I don’t think the dispenser button is stuck as I hear it click. But it seemed constantly engaged.

Inside refrigerator left side water dispenser is leaking water slowly. Installed a new water valve lower back of refrigerator. And now it is still leaking slowly, no change. Could it be now be the limit switch behind the dispenser unit left side?
