Knob would not engage, had to manually turn outer ring to start washer.
Used a screw driver and needle nose pliers to remove clip from behind the timer knob. Took 2 minutes to remove clip, i admit it was a little tricky but once you get a grip on the clip very easily removed. Replaced with new knob, old knob gear was completley stripped . put the new clip on and presto, Like brand new.A normal service call would of ran me 45.00 just to tell me what was wrong with the machine.

Start switch was stuck in the on position always leaving dryer running until you moved timer switch to off or opened door
Just removed the screws at the top of the control panel cover and flipped it down. The switch was then in plain view and simply slid out ( after taking off knob)..placed wire terminals on new switch as I took them off old switch. Slid new switch back in place to lock it in then put control panel cover back into place and replaced screws. Your good to go.

Dryer wouldn't run at all
First I figured out it was the start switch, I heard it make an electrical zap noise when I turned it and then the dryer didn't start. Once I had the part I simply removed the back from the dryer with a screwdriver (5 phillips head screws and 1 flat head). Then I twisted the old switch and it popped right out. Then I unhooked the wires and rehooked them to the new switch. Then I twisted the new switch into place, tested the dryer - IT WORKED! After that I just replaced the back cover and I was done. It was so quick! I am a 25 year old single mother with a 21 month and 4 month old. If I can do it on my own anyone can!

Knob on washer timer would not turn dial also dryer start switch would not work.
Washer - remove 4 screws (phillips)on the back of the panel, slide it sidways slightly and pull forward to release. remove clip behind knob ( kinda like the clip on old car window handles) remove knob and dial. remove 1 nut on timer, rotate timer to release. installation is just as easy, but put clip onto knob first then just push onto dial shaft, it will click when on correct.
Dryer - remove 4 screws (phillips) on back of panel and remove same as washer. dryer switch will have a little cam lock on it just pull it off the plastic retainer and rotate switch. Remove wires one at a time and put on new switch so as not to wire wrong. reverse for re-assembly

Washing machine overflows on "Cold water" setting
Repair was simple. Initially thought the problem was the Water Level pressure swith, but since water overflow was only happening when selecting cold wash & during the rinse cycle (Always cold water) the Dual Valve Selenoid replacement FIXED the problem. Took 5 minutes to replace.

Dryer would not stay off after door was opened and closed. Normally you have to hit the start switch again.
Unscrewed three screws on back and removed the switch and inserted the new one. There are 3 wires that clamp on the switch. Remember to unplug before doing this.
Real easy and great people to work with. Much cheaper than a technician repair.

Dryer would not start
I narrowed the porblem down to the rotary start switch, which is located in the top panel. It takes a hex wrench to remove the four screws holding the fron top panel in place and of course the knobs had to be removed. The switch rotates about a wuarter of a turn to come out. Label and remove the three connectors (3). It took about a week to get the replacement part which was slightly different than the original part. The good thing is it had the three prongs like the old part.. I hooked the connectors in the same configuration as the old switch, plugged the power cord back in to test and it started right up.

I am replacing the rotary switch but I can only find two wires. The double red that comes from the timer and another that comes from the cycle select. Where is that third wire supposed to come from?
For model number DHDSR46GG1WW
Hi Jeremiah,
Thank you for the question. Here is a video on how to replace this switch. It should be helpful with locating the wires.

When i turn the rotary start knob on my dryer it starts but once it is released it stops. Do you think the knob is the problem or is it likely something else??
For model number DWSR483EG3WW
Hello Susan, Thank you for the question. The knob is just used to give you something to hold and grip. It sounds like an issue with the switch behind the knob. Part Number: PS3487203. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

I changed the switch but the dryer will not keep running unless you hold the switch to the start position
For model number Gtdx200gm1ww
Hi Robert, Thank you for the question. This would be an issue with the switch on the motor. The switch is not sold separate from the motor so the motor will need to be replaced, PartSelect Number PS11699355. Hope this helps!

Okay so i purchased the rotary start switch and as i tried to remove the 3rd wire i see that there is some sort of Green rust on it that's making it hard to remove from the defective rotary switch. What is that Green rust that is on the electric wire?
For model number DBSR463EG1WW
Hello Nikki, thank you for contacting us. That green rust would be corrosion. Over time that can build up, you can get some spray to remove and clean it. Hope this helps!

This switch i received from you {# we4m619 } has 3 electical post and my switch has 2 post . I have 2 two brown wires on one spade and a 1 wire on another. This one you sent me has 3 elec. Post i only have but only two hook ups the switch i have is normaly open the one i got from you i don't think it is, mine i have to turn to start and it stays engaged on start.
Hi David, thank you for your question. We do have an installation video for this part that may help: https://youtu.be/m9lGqnfwLh4. If you do not have a third wire to connect to the switch then you may not have to worry about that. Install the wires that you do have on the same terminals as your old one and it should work. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
